I set up CURBSIDE while serving my Engineering apprenticeship in 2013. Prior to starting my apprenticeship I had worked full-time as a mechanic for 2 of the biggest bike retailers in the country for the best part of 6 combined years. They taught me a lot about running an efficient workshop and dealing professionally with passionate customers. One complaint, that neither retailer could deal with, was the simple fact that it takes a lot of effort to physically get your bike to a shop. The people I deal with have busy lives, and in their precious spare time they want to ride their bikes, not lug them too and from shops! Upon completion of my apprenticeship I ended up taking another full time mechanic role for a further 2 and a half years in a very fast paced inner city workshop. During this time CURBSIDE was left dormant, I'm an honest worker and have no interest in taking business away from my employer. I did, however, always plan to leave and make CURBSIDE a real business. So I invested my wages into more equipment and tooling. Now I have a well equipped mobile workshop ready to serve my area with an unparalleled level of convenience, and high standards. I work for you, now.
